As Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing development, and implementation of data center critical facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data center projects meet technical requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Your role will involve assessing project needs, manage designing scalable and efficient data center solutions, and providing guidance throughout the project management lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a facilitator for data center design initiatives, offering expertise in areas of critical facilities such as mechanical, electrical and fire system.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage Customer requirement against BDx Global Engineering Design, including capacity planning, performance objectives, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the development of comprehensive data center designs, considering factors such as facilities rectification and expansion, layout optimization, equipment selection, redundancy strategies, and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage detailed design documentation, including floor plans, equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and operational procedures, to support implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and technologies, making recommendations based on performance, cost- effectiveness, and alignment with project objectives.
- Manage to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in data center designs and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the reliability and security of infrastructure components.
- Lead thorough reviews of design plans and implementation processes to verify compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and ensure seamless integration of data center solutions into broader IT environments.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to data center design and infrastructure and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in data center project, design, or engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of data center critical facilities: mechanical, electrical and fire system.
- Proficiency in design tools and software, such as AutoCAD and Visio.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for data center design and operations, such as ANSI/TIA-942 and Uptime Institute Tier Classification.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and influence decision-making at all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions that balance technical requirements, business objectives, and budget constraints.
