Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Industrial Division is partnered with an MNC that produces oleochemicals. Our esteemed client focuses on production of oleochemicals for various application such as industrial, food ingredients, personal care, biofuel, and agriculture.

The successful applicant will be shadowing the Senior Manager, in leading a team of 2 in the regulatory and sustainability side. Applicant must be highly skilled at stakeholder management and solid experience in regulatory affairs.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead on Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) management to create and maintain a sustainable vision and strategy for the group businesses for compliance on global scale
  • Keep abreast of best practices in industry. Identify and prioritise areas for PSRA improvement and recommend strategies for proactively addressing relevant PSRA issues
  • Ability to present all information (regulatory and scientific) effectively, both orally and in writing, in a concise, logical and persuasive manner with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Development and implementation of regulatory strategies, for the preparation and submission of new products
  • Develop content, timelines, and contingencies for all submissions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Focal point for PSRA relationship with Sales, Marketing and R&D to support growth and innovation
  • Line management responsibility for product safety function
  • Coaching and development of direct reports in conjunction with departmental strategy evolution to align with companywide strategies
  • External representation of company at industrial working groups


Job requirements:

  • Proven leader with prominent industry visibility and ability to excel in execution in complex, grey and challenging situations
  • High level of and creativity with strong analytical solving skills
  • Master's in Industrial Chemistry, with minimum 15 years working experience in regulatory affairs experience
  • Demonstrated excellent track record in stakeholders' management and established strong relationships with key players in the industry/sector
  • Advanced knowledge of food law, cosmetic law, chemical regulations
  • Advanced knowledge in registration process, type of information and documents to be generated for registration of products, especially scientific information
  • Experience in Operations within the industry mentioned above will be an added advantage
