Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is recruiting on behalf of the leading brand and major manufacturer of rolling element bearings for the automotive, heavy industry and industrial sectors. Our respected client, headquartered in Singapore, holds a significant position in the Asian market as a prominent distributor of bearings and associated products. They have secured the Exclusive Authorized Distributorship for renowned brands such as TWB, Dodge & ILJIN, and NMB. Currently, they are in search of a Sales and Product Development Manager with a minimum of 5 years' sales experience in the engineering, manufacturing, or trading sectors. The position is based in Selangor.

Key job responsibilities include:


  • Responsible in growing sales for industrial and automotive belts and/ or power transmission related range of products especially in areas which are under-penetrated; introduce product marketing strategies; short-term and long-term product sales forecasts.

  • Assist in the development of new products (in-house brand) in industrial belt and/or power transmission related range of products through identification of product specification and requirements; from understanding of customers' needs and demands through market information.

  • Pricing setting for products by utilizing market research data and relationship with customers, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, special costs, and product customization.

  • Monitor business & brand performance in all Malaysia branches by consolidating the monthly report to HQ; assess market competition by comparing Company's product to competitors.

  • Evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization and production issues of the related products.


Key job requirements include:


  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or equivalent.

  • Possess strong ability in hunting and selling skills, with proven experience in business development activities.

  • Possess presentation techniques and able to conduct negotiations.

  • A self-motivated team player that is result oriented with high level of commitment.

  • Ability to think out of the box with creativity, down to earth mentality.

  • Strong background in new business sales development and comfortable with cold calling.

  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret complex business-related documents.

  • Team player who thrives on deadlines-driven project and deliver under pressure.
