Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia, an executive recruitment firm is partnering with a prominent MNC company that specializes in ophthalmic lenses, optical equipment and instruments to hire a Sales Manager. This role focuses on promoting ophthalmic instruments and services to ophthalmologists in both private and government healthcare settings, primarily within the Central region. Responsibilities include driving business growth, providing technical training, developing key opinion leaders (KOLs), and achieving sales targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- To promote products and services to key customers mainly focused on ophthalmologists in private and government hospitals
- Demonstrate a high level of sales expertise and relationship management through product & diseases knowledge, selling skills, product presentation skills and customer management.
- Identifies business opportunities and proactively develop strategic account primarily for central region including any territories assigned.
- Responsible for growing revenue, increasing the company's instrument market share and contributing to company growth and profitability within territories assigned.
- Provide technical training and assistance to the Ophthalmologist doctors and key personnel.
- Committed to learn new products as required and be excel in technical know-how of all products available.
- Cultivates and maintains good rapport with customer by providing support, information and guidance.
- Ability to interact in a professional and courteous manner with health care practitioners ranging from nurses, ophthalmologist, consultants and key decision makers.
- Attends sales activities such as meetings, conferences, workshops and seminars.
- Ensures and facilitates a smooth flow of communication within departments to avoid confusion.
- Contribute to the team in ensuring a good teamwork to achieve the given KPIs.
- Develop KOLs in assigned territory to support commercial, professional, training and marketing activities.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Background Degree holder in Optical/ Optometry /Ophthalmology / Medical Science/ Life Science or equivalent.
- At least 5- 10 years of working experience in medical sales (ophthalmology)
- Ability to work alone and build up a new medical team in 3 years timeline
- Strong medical networking among Ophthalmologist across Malaysia
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent teamwork, good interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly motivated and result oriented.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to travel.
- Possess own car.
