Job Summary:
The collaborative hands-on Sr. Software Quality Engineer will manage existing and develop new automated testing & CICD tools for the Mobile & Web Applications Team located in Manila. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive self-starter to make a significant impact with their experience as a Sr. Quality Engineer.
Key Job responsibilities include:
- Assess the risks of software deployments & releases
- Ensure that user stories, acceptance criteria, and performance KPIs are met prior to and following deployment
- Document test cases and maintain a record of their results
- Create test plans
- Perform manual tests where needed and strive to automate tests wherever possible
- Identify, isolate, report, and track bugs throughout development and testing
- Identify and report poor user experiences
- Develop and manage CICD services, following security best practices and SDLC processes
- Ensure that software developers follow security best practices and SDLC processes
- Ensure the timely and efficient deployment of vetted code, configurations, and applications
- Assist Software Engineering team to ensure that all work is integrated into CICD processes throughout each sprint
- Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
- Manage source code repositories
- Work with Infrastructure Team to ensure post-deployment expectations are met
- Research new tools, technologies, and testing processes
Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline preferred
- Senior-level experience as a Quality Engineer or related field (3+ years)
- Proven record of implementation of automated test processes
Other REQUIRED Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, and CICD
- Build Tools: GitHub Actions or equivalent
- Automated testing tools and frameworks
- Experience working with cloud PaaS resources (Azure preferred)
- Solid understanding of web application architectures and APIs
