JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Analyst (Technical and Statutory Accounting) will support the Statutory Reporting Team in preparing the Annual Report & Accounts and other statutory requirements. Additionally, they should stay updated on internal, legislative, accounting, and business partnering developments, ensuring timely interpretation and implementation of required changes.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely statutory and consolidated financial statements and disclosures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements by collaborating across functions.
Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures · Ensure accurate and complete financial records are maintained
Identifying and resolving accounting issues and discrepancies
Provide input and to the internal and external audit processes, including liasing with auditors and ensuring timely completion of audits
Provide guidance and expertise on technical accounting issues such as revenue recognition, amortization of intangible assets, goodwill and impairment.
Ensure compliance with external audit requirements, maintaining documentation of accounting policies and procedures to maintain statutory requirements.
Provide input to the Statutory Reporting Team in the preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts, and other statutory requirements as required;
Ensure appropriate continuous professional development, keeping abreast of all internal, legislative, accounting and best practice business partnering developments. Ensure appropriate interpretation and implementation of required changes in a timely manner;
Support all internal and external audit activities through the provision of required documentation and attendance of necessary meetings

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
Accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent) preferred.
2+ years of experience in financial reporting, or related roles, with a strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills.
Experience with financial software and ERP systems is desired
Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align financial strategies with business objectives.
Knowledge of accounting standards and principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices
