User Interface/Experience (UI/X) Designer

Executive Recruitment Firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a financial technology company in the Philippines, operating as an Electronic Money Issuer licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. They provide financial services through their e-wallet and develop payment solutions for businesses nationwide.

Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Mobile UI/UX Designer to collaborate on a short-term sprint to refine the user experience and interface of our mobile application. This is a fast-paced, focused engagement to deliver high-impact design updates that enhance usability and visual appeal. The position is based in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Philippines, with an onsite work arrangement.

Final Deliverables (Mobile App UI/UX for iOS & Android):

  • UX Audit or Quick Heuristic Evaluation
  • Highlights usability issues or improvement areas based on existing app or user flows.
  • User Flow Diagrams / Journey Maps
  • For critical paths like onboarding, signup/login, navigation, checkout, etc.
  • Wireframes (Low/Mid Fidelity)
  • Key screens and variations for both platforms (if differing).
  • High-Fidelity UI Designs
  • All major screens designed for iOS and Android, respecting platform-specific design guidelines (e.g., Material Design vs. Human Interface Guidelines).
  • Includes responsive states (loading, empty states, errors, etc.)
  • Clickable Prototype (Figma or similar)
  • Interactive flow to showcase navigation, transitions, and basic animations.
  • Design Handoff Package
  • Organized Figma file with components, spacing, typography, etc.
  • Exportable assets (icons, illustrations, etc.)
  • Notes for developers on platform-specific adaptations.
  • Mini Design System / Style Guide
  • Color palette, typography, button states, form fields, icon usage, etc.
  • Reusable components for consistent development.
  • Optional: Microinteraction Guidance
  • Suggestions for animations/transitions (if applicable to the user experience).


Key Responsibilities:
Design Mobile UI/UX:

  • Conduct a rapid UI/UX audit of the existing product.
  • Translate user insights and requirements into wireframes and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Refine the design of key user flows (onboarding, navigation, etc.).
  • Design intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing mobile user interfaces for both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Ensure the mobile app design aligns with the user experience (UX) best practices and company brand guidelines.
  • Deliver a clickable prototype or design handoff package (e.g., Figma).

User Research & Testing:

  • Analyze user feedback and data to inform design decisions.
  • Conduct quick user testing (e.g., usability tests) to validate design choices and iterate rapidly.

Collaboration & Feedback:

  • Work closely with the product team to understand user needs, business goals, and project scope.
  • Provide regular design updates to the team and iterate based on feedback.
  • Ensure designs are implemented accurately by collaborating with developers throughout the development process.

Time Management:

  • Meet design milestones within the 2-week contract timeframe, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.

Requirements:

  • Strong portfolio showcasing both UX thinking and visual design.
  • Ability to work independently and meet quick turnaround timelines.
  • Proven experience as a Mobile UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio of mobile app design projects (include examples in your application).
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience designing for both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Knowledge of mobile-first design principles and responsive design.
  • Strong ability to create high-fidelity prototypes and detailed UI designs.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design and usability principles.
