Assistant Sales Manager (Electrical Equipments)

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines, a distinguished executive recruitment firm, is representing a Japanese company renowned for its expertise in electrical equipment. This company manufactures a diverse array of products, including pressure transmitters, flowmeters, gas analyzers, controllers, inverters, pumps, generators, ICs, motors, and power equipment. They are currently seeking an Assistant Sales Manager for Inverter and Instrumentation with at least three years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate should have robust technical knowledge of inverters and instruments such as servos, PLCs, HMIs, transmitters, flowmeters, and gas analyzers. The position requires on-site work from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.

Job Summary:

  • The Assistant Sales Manager will manage distributor sales channels, ensuring a consistent monthly order volume. This role involves developing new business partners and markets, particularly in the HVAC sector. The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Sales Manager in leading the Sales Department, focusing on achieving sales targets and overall team success.


Key job responsibilities include:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Train Sales and Senior Sales Engineers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and support them throughout the sales process.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in negotiations and ensure the feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans aligned with company goals.
  • Drive the department's revenue growth by leading business development initiatives.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Achieve KPIs (division sales budget, target strategy).
  • Create new sales leads, build channel bases, and develop relationships with OEMs, consultants, and contractors.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company growth, sales, and profit margin targets.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports, including forecasts for management review.
  • Conduct competitive analysis regarding FESP business in the territory.
  • Engage in commercial and technical discussions with customers, gather requirements, coordinate with the factory, and submit solution proposals.
  • Manage end-to-end customer relationships and ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Draft presentations and other materials to explain products and services to customers.
  • Stay updated on competitors' offerings and industry trends to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Key job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • At least three years of relevant sales experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of inverters and instruments (e.g., Servo, PLC, HMI, Transmitter, Flowmeter, Gas Analyzer).
  • Proven sales track record in the drives and automation business environment.
  • Experience with distributor business for inverters and instruments.
  • Experience in multinational companies is an advantage.
  • Site work experience (e.g., electrical work, testing, commissioning, project management) is preferred.
  • Good network of prospective customers, distributors, consultants, and contractors in the Philippines.
  • Proven experience in senior sales and leadership roles with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
