Executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia, is partnering with a leading life science company in Southeast Asia to hire a Business Development Manager.

As business growth and expansion continues, our respected client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive business development and marketing strategies that expand awareness, adoption, and growth for our diagnostic portfolios. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in healthcare/clinical diagnostics, with proven ability to expand market presence, develop partnerships, and deliver revenue growth.

This career opportunity is based in the central region Selangor, Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities and track industry trends.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve company growth objectives.
  • Create compelling messaging and product positioning using market insights and customer feedback.
  • Clearly articulate value propositions and unique selling points to resonate with healthcare professionals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital-based stakeholders (doctors, nurses, pathologists, scientific officers, and Key Opinion Leaders).
  • Monitor effectiveness of business development strategies and adjust tactics to achieve goals.
  • Organize and deliver product talks, CME presentations, exhibitions, conferences, and meetings.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and customer needs assessment to guide business strategy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing) to ensure alignment and drive business success.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in a medical-related field: Biomedical, Biotechnology, Biology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in clinical diagnostics or healthcare industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess a car, valid driving license, and willingness to travel for work.
  • High adaptability; comprehensive training will be provided.
