Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a healthcare provider seeking an experienced Finance Professional to lead an entire finance department. This role is on a full onsite work set up.
Job Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer is a senior executive responsible for shaping the financial vision and strategy of the company. This role ensures the organization's financial health, oversees fiscal operations across all business units, and supports the company's mission by aligning financial management with long-term strategic goals. The CFO leads financial planning, risk management, capital allocation, and compliance, ensuring resources are deployed efficiently to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Design and execute a financial roadmap that supports the hospital's strategic direction, growth initiatives, and operational priorities.
- Financial Stewardship: Safeguard the organization's assets by managing cash flow, capital expenditures, and investment strategies while ensuring sustainable financial performance.
- Operational Oversight: Direct accounting, treasury, billing, and revenue cycle operations to maintain accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
- Performance Management: Partner with department heads to create budgets, track performance metrics, and identify opportunities to improve financial outcomes and cost efficiency.
- Governance & Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to the Board, CEO, and senior leadership.
- Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements to maintain a clean compliance record and minimize financial risks.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executives, clinicians, and external partners to support business development projects, expansion efforts, and mergers or acquisitions.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion the adoption of new technologies, systems, and processes to enhance financial operations and decision-making capabilities.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong command of healthcare financial practices, reimbursement models, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing finance teams and implementing change initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Proven experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and capital planning.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and presenting complex financial information clearly.
