Chief Operating Officer (Healthcare)

Monroe Consulting Group is supporting a well-established and growing healthcare provider in Indonesia in the search for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing end-to-end non-medical hospital operations, driving operational efficiency, commercial performance, and financial sustainability. The COO will play a key role in translating strategic objectives into executable operational plans, strengthening business office performance, and ensuring seamless coordination across commercial, finance, and facility management functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in hospital operations leadership, with proven experience in scaling operations, improving service delivery, and supporting long-term business growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee overall hospital non-medical operations, ensuring strong coordination across Commercial, Finance, FMS & GA, and Business Office functions.
  • Translate corporate and hospital strategy into operational execution, driving efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.
  • Strengthen Business Office performance, including billing accuracy, AR management, payer coordination, and revenue cycle optimization.
  • Drive commercial and business development initiatives, including partnership strategy, service line growth, and revenue enhancement programs.
  • Ensure effective financial control and cost management in collaboration with Finance Division to achieve budget and EBITDA targets.
  • Oversee Facility Management & General Affairs, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, asset optimization, and service quality standards.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance, or related field; Master's degree is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital management at a senior or higher management level (non-medical function).
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations, especially Business Office, commercial strategy, finance, and FMS/GA.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, operational improvement, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to balance operational efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with hospital directors and shareholders.
