Executive recruitment consultant Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of one of the leading Fast Moving Consumer Group Companies in Indonesia. Our respected client is seeking a professional for Deputy Managing Director - Plant. The job is based in Indonesia.

Overview: As the Chief Operation Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the operational excellence and strategic direction of our organization. Reporting directly to the Group CEO and serving as a key member of the board of directors, you will oversee and optimize the operational functions spanning across various divisions including Plantation, Manufacturing, Operations Services, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Research and Development, and Sustainability. We are seeking a seasoned professional with a background in plantation management, preferably in industries such as palm oil or other fruit plantations, who possesses a proven track record in leadership, manufacturing transformation, and expanding plantation operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operational divisions to ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives and goals.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity across all divisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, plantation land efficiency, and overall operational performance.
  • Oversee the sourcing of raw materials and supplies, ensuring quality standards are met while optimizing costs and lead times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, sustainability, and quality assurance throughout the production and sourcing processes.
  • Lead the research and development efforts to identify new technologies and methodologies that can drive operational excellence and competitive advantage.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the operational teams.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against operational objectives and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Act as a liaison between the operational divisions and senior management, providing regular updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within the plantation or agriculture industry, with a strong understanding of plantation management practices and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving manufacturing transformation initiatives, optimizing plantation land efficiency, and establishing new plantation sites.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams while maintaining a strong sense of accountability and integrity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future trends and challenges within the industry.
  • Prior experience serving on a board of directors or working closely with executive leadership teams is highly desirable.
