Our respected client is seeking for a highly motivated and professional individual for the role of Design Engineer

Job summary:
To identify materials required for the build of development vehicles and to compile a full range of information for distribution throughout the company. To ensure vehicles are built to customer specification, and do this within strict time constraints. To also liaise closely with all other departments within the company and support Customcare.

Key Responsibilities:

To produce, issue and control accurate bills of material as required on Sage MRP system.
To produce, issue and control information as required.
To maintain drawing history records and hard copies.
To fully document all respective information through the planning process.
To liaise with production to ensure vehicle is built to correct specification.
To do everything within employee power to ensure contracts are completed on time.
To source as necessary any requirement for new materials and technology.
To maintain supplier and material records.
To develop and design product options in line with customer specifications.
To produce Creo models, components and assemblies of vehicle structural components.
To take Creo assemblies and components and produce engineering drawings which can be issued for manufacturing.
Produce build drawings, workshop procedures and record modifications/improvements during development builds.
To produce engineering reports to a high level in English
Undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post.
