Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting for an Employee Relations & Labor Relations Manager on behalf of a leading tertiary hospital. The role will directly report to the Head of HR and will be responsible for managing all aspects of employee and labor relations, promoting a harmonious work environment, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and union agreements. Role requires 100% onsite work setup and will be based in Bacolod City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies and policies to maintain a productive and engaged workforce.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
- Collaborate with the union representatives to foster a cooperative and constructive labor-management relationship.
- Interpret and administer labor contracts, ensuring compliance with union agreements and applicable labor laws.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on employee relations issues, labor laws, and union-related matters.
- Conduct investigations into workplace disputes, complaints, or allegations of misconduct, ensuring impartiality and adherence to legal requirements.
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote understanding of employee rights, union obligations, and labor relations best practices.
- Represent the organization in labor negotiations, collective bargaining, and grievance proceedings.
- Maintain accurate employee records, prepare reports, and analyze data related to employee and labor relations.
- Collaborate with legal dept/counsels as needed
- Monitor labor relations trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes, making recommendations for policy updates as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, Pol-Sci, Psychology or any other related degrees. Must have on-going MBA or MBA Degree
- 7-10 years of proven experience in employee relations, labor relations, or related roles. Must have people-management experience (at least 5 years in supervisory)
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and union practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage employee grievances and maintain positive labor relations.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including union representatives, employees, and management.
- Attention to detail, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
