Executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a hypergrowth multinational consumer electronics company. Our respected client is looking for an agile, engaging, and strategic professional with minimum 8 years of relevant experience to join their company as External Affairs Sr. Manager. The job is based in Tangerang, Indonesia

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in driving the overall strategy for public relations and reputation building in Indonesia
  • Identification, mapping and monitoring of stakeholders, including government and NGOs
  • Creation and execution of external stakeholder engagement plan
  • Design and execute external engagement action plans, manage potential negative impacts, assess growth opportunities from potential policy changes
  • Monitoring and gathering political, economic, and regulatory intelligence, and provide leadership and guidance to the commercial business on required actions
  • Advise and support the country team on day to day issues management
  • Lead the roll-out of global and regional corporate messaging, with the support of country-level and regional agencies
  • Drive external relationships and corporate reputation for the company
  • Draft talking points, correspondence, statements, position papers, and presentations for external communications
  • Act as corporate spokesperson and respond to members of the media

Job Requirements:

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in issues and activities related to external affairs in Indonesia, preferably with experience managing an stakeholder engagement and communications program
  • Business acumen and understands the strategic role of External Affairs in analyzing challenges and opportunities
  • A solid understanding of the regulatory and government affairs landscape in Indonesia
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently, in ambiguous or undefined circumstances
  • Strong communicator with excellent oral, written and overall communications skills; can credibly adopt a broad range of communication styles
