Finance Director (Trading) Bangkok, Thailand

Monroe Consulting Group, an award-winning executive recruitment firm, is recruiting on behalf of a diversified business group in Thailand operating across multiple business lines, combining trading, distribution, and service-based operations. Our client is seeking a dynamic Finance Director to oversee strategic financial leadership across the company and its affiliated companies. This role is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Finance Director will oversee full P&L management, financial planning and control, consolidation of subsidiary results, and supports business growth initiatives including M&A opportunities. The position also leads financial systems enhancement, including ERP upgrades and optimization, to strengthen governance, transparency, and operational efficiency.


Job Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the overall financial direction and strategy for the company and its affiliated entities in alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Act as a key business partner to the Managing Director and Group CFO, providing financial insights to support decision-making.

  • Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, and compliance with local regulations and group policies.

  • Take full ownership of P&L performance, including margin analysis and cost optimization.

  • Oversee financial controlling, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data.

  • Monitor working capital, cash flow, and capital expenditure to support sustainable business performance.

  • Lead the preparation and submission of monthly financial reports, management reports, and variance analyses.

  • Oversee and review consolidated financial statements from subsidiaries, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.

  • Track performance against budget and forecasts, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.

  • Partner with the Group CFO to evaluate M&A opportunities, including financial modeling, due diligence, and investment analysis.

  • Support post-merger integration from a financial and reporting perspective.

  • Lead and manage ERP system updates, enhancements, or implementations, ensuring alignment with business needs and group standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, automation, and data quality.

Job Requirements

  • Academic background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • Proven years of progressive finance experience, with senior leadership exposure.

  • Strong experience in P&L management, financial controlling, consolidation, and budgeting.

  • Prior exposure to multi-entity or group structures is essential.

  • Experience supporting M&A activities and ERP implementation or upgrades.

  • Strong knowledge of Thai accounting standards and international reporting principles.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong command of English.
