Finance Manager

Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia, an executive recruitment firm, is assisting a leading player in the commercial shrimp genetics industry. Our client is seeking a highly capable and experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations in Indonesia. This position will report directly to the Country Manager and play a key role in supporting the company's financial strategy, compliance, and operational excellence.

Job Summary


The Finance Manager will be responsible for leading financial planning and analysis, budgeting, cash flow management, tax and regulatory compliance, and internal financial reporting. This role is essential in providing strategic financial insights, managing financial risks, and ensuring strong financial controls are in place. The role also requires close collaboration with site operations and senior leadership to align financial performance with long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities


Daily Operations & Site Leadership

  • Oversee daily financial and accounting activities at the company's operational sites (e.g., hatcheries, farms).
  • Ensure accurate handling of finance functions including accounting, cash flow, credit control, tax, and compliance.
  • Implement and enforce strong financial controls and procedures in accordance with company policy and corporate governance.


Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Provide timely and insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making and strategy development.


Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, audit standards, and financial reporting regulations.


Cash Flow & Cost Management

  • Monitor cash flow to ensure operational liquidity and capital efficiency.
  • Analyze costs and develop initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness across the business.


Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks by ensuring strong financial oversight and adherence to governance policies.


Strategic Business Support

  • Collaborate with the CFO and leadership team on pricing, investment, and growth strategies.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario planning to support long-term commercial decisions.


Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering continuous development and high performance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to align finance with operational and commercial objectives.


Audit & Governance

  • Manage internal and external audit processes and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.


Other Duties


  • Perform additional financial duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with 3+ years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in agribusiness, aquaculture, food production, or a related sector is highly advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of Indonesian tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial compliance.
  • Proficient in financial systems and ERP software.
  • Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
