Job Summary
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multi-outlet business to hire a commercially driven Finance professional. This role will lead financial planning, performance analysis, and operational efficiency across multiple brands and outlets.The position works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive profitability, ensure financial integrity, and support overall business growth.
Key Responsibility
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Analyse P&L performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide financial modelling, ROI analysis, and feasibility studies
- Translate financial data into actionable business insights
Business Performance & Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales and performance reports
- Monitor key metrics, trends, and variances against targets
- Partner with Operations and Marketing to optimise pricing, promotions, and product mix
Cost Control & Operational Efficiency
- Monitor food, labour, and overhead costs to improve profitability
- Identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on costing and process improvements
Systems, Inventory & Audit
- Ensure accuracy of financial, POS, and inventory systems
- Monitor stock movement, variances, and wastage
- Conduct store visits and internal audits to ensure compliance and financial discipline
Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee monthly closing and management reporting
- Ensure compliance with MFRS and statutory requirements
- Liaise with auditors and relevant authorities
HR & Team Management
- Oversee payroll, statutory contributions, and HR processes
- Support recruitment, performance management, and employee development
- Drive employee engagement and maintain proper HR documentation
Leadership & Business Partnering
- Act as a strategic partner to senior management
- Present insights to support decision-making and growth strategies
- Lead and develop the finance team
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification preferred)
- 6-8 years of relevant experience, ideally in F&B or retail multi-outlet environments
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with accounting systems, POS, and inventory management tools
- Willing to travel for store visits
