Job Summary:
This permanent position will be based in our Ortigas office. However, they are currently working remotely from home due to the pandemic. They are looking for programmers with a keen eye for design for the position of a Front-End Developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing visual elements and ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages & devices, among other duties. The developer will be required to work in teams alongside Back-End Developers, Graphic Designers, and Marketing to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent. The role requires good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key job requirements include:
- Determining the structure and design of web pages
- Ensuring user experience determines design choices
- Developing features to enhance the user experience
- Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design
- Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones & tablet
- Building reusable code for future use
- Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability
- Utilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages
- Can work with tight deadline and minimum supervision
- Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design
Key job responsibilities include:
- Degree in computer science or related field
- At least 4 years of experience as a Front-End Developer
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Understanding of server-side CSS, Angular, Vue.js and WordPress
- Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design
- Understanding of SEO principles
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
