Head of DIgital E-Commerce (FMCG)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a global beauty company for the Head of Digital & E-Commerce position. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and lead the e-commerce strategy for all brands, incorporating Joint Business Planning and annual plans for each platform.
  • Develop short-term and mid-term strategies to achieve business objectives, sales targets, brand rankings, and market share goals across brands, categories, and platforms.
  • Spot new e-commerce opportunities by understanding shopper and consumer behaviour, recognizing triggers and barriers, and taking swift, appropriate actions.
  • Work closely with platforms and e-distributors to ensure excellence in daily e-commerce operations, including commercial planning, Shop In Shop (SIS) design, merchandising, and marketing performance.
  • Manage profit and loss by channel, from top-line to bottom-line.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team and media agencies to optimize media performance from brand awareness to conversion, enhancing brand and e-commerce performance across the ecosystem.
  • Create business dashboards with a data roadmap covering e-commerce, social commerce, media performance, social listening, market share, and ranking, ensuring data centralization and providing business insights to key stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on new local and global media initiatives to ensure effective and efficient marketing communications (e.g., TikTok, Google Shopping Ads, cashback, e-wallets).
  • Work closely with the e-commerce team to achieve sales and brand targets during all business-as-usual activities, special brand days, and mega campaigns.
  • Lead local CRM strategies for each brand in collaboration with the Prestige Division, adhering to group guidelines and requirements.
  • Enhance customer journeys and experiences from online to offline and vice versa to maximize shopping experience.
  • Analyze customer data insights and translate them into business opportunities, providing recommendations to the Brand team.


  • 5-7 years or more in e-commerce/digital marketing management positions, preferably within multinational companies in the Personal Care, FMCG business, or e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong experience with e-commerce business models, particularly marketplace models.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital marketing, including brand media, e-commerce media, search strategy, on-site/off-site media performance, social content marketing, and social media.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, influencing skills, growth mindset, innovation, curiosity, and data-driven, business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient in English communication and presentation.
  • Genuine interest in beauty and innovation transformation.
