As expansion continues, our client is seeking a regulatory affairs professional leader with at least 20 years' experience with a multinational company for the job of Head of Regulatory Affairs. The job is based in Surabaya, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Directly reports to the President Director
- Maintaining current knowledge of relevant regulations and ensuring the organization's products and operations comply with all applicable laws and standards.
- Offering expert advice and direction to various departments on regulatory requirements, product development, and marketing activities.
- Leading and mentoring a team of regulatory professionals, fostering their development, and ensuring efficient workflow
- Serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, building and maintaining strong relationships, and representing the company in interactions.
- Identifying and assessing regulatory risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Contributing to the development of the organization's overall strategic plans, particularly as they relate to regulatory requirements and market access
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in regulatory affairs, or a related field
- Strong background from mining industries
- A deep understanding of relevant regulations, guidelines, and procedures, particularly in the industry the company operates in manufacturing or mining
- Strong networking with the government and manage relations with the external parties
- Ability to clearly communicate complex regulatory information to various stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Strong ability to coordinate and communicate with his team and also across to other departments/ companies (matrix organization)
- Capability to work independently (analyse, plan, action, control) with initiative and creativity to ensure operational excellence
- English language, international business experience highly desirable
