Role Description
The position will be responsible for managing underwriting audit and work as an authority holder for the new product line, incorporating multiple existing company lines of business
Job Responsibilities
- Support new business development both technology and conventional process initiated.
- Analyse market trends and develop strategies and new product development initiatives.
- Responsibility for delivering and executing annual plans and regular forecasts in conjunction with Finance.
- Leader of product development and distribution (new and renewal)
- Manage the relationships with distribution partners and the IDP team.
- Peer review process, including conducting reviews.
- Portfolio Management (including establishing agile portfolio review process)
- Monitor wording integrity in line with Product Board guidance.
- Responsibility for the implementation of the Digital Underwriting Strategy
Job Requirements
- Process work experience in underwriting / marketing proficiency in one of the P&C Lines
- Proven record of securing profitability and growth.
- Multiline insurance underwriting experience
- Portfolio Management experience
- Digital / Small Commercial underwriting experience
- Experience of building and managing a team
- Customer orientated manner and approach based on positive relationship building.
- Excellent project management and organization skills to keep projects on track and working with external and internal resources.
- The ability to effectively manage conflict and daily issues dealing with the relationship between the professionals in the areas and the business customers.
