IT Infrastructure Manager (Healthcare)


Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management & Operations

  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust ICT infrastructure to support hospital operations, including data centers, networking, and telecommunication systems.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure components.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Ensure the integration of ICT infrastructure with the hospital's Health Information System (HIS), including TrakCare.

Network & Security Management

  • Manage hospital-wide networking infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPNs.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies and measures to protect hospital data.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with international healthcare IT security standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and mitigate risks related to IT security threats.

System Administration & Data Center Management

  • Oversee the hospital's data center operations.
  • Manage server environments, including physical, virtual, and cloud-based servers.
  • Ensure data backup and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place and regularly tested.
  • Optimize storage solutions for efficiency and data integrity.

Vendor & Procurement Management

  • Lead the procurement process for IT infrastructure components, ensuring alignment with hospital requirements and budgets.
  • Manage vendor relationships, evaluate performance, and oversee contract negotiations.
  • Review vendor proposals and technical documents before finalizing agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and hospital standards.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the ICT infrastructure team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with application teams, IT support teams, and hospital departments to align ICT infrastructure with hospital needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for IT projects and implementations.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure IT infrastructure compliance with national and international healthcare IT standards.
  • Maintain documentation of IT policies, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Keep up with advancements in IT infrastructure and recommend improvements.


Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a technical related field.


Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in ICT infrastructure management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, and security systems.
  • Proven experience in managing IT procurement and vendor relations.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of network administration (Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with hospital IT systems, including HIS, PACS, and ERP integration.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.

  • System Uptime: Maintain at least 99.9% uptime for critical IT infrastructure.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure zero major security breaches annually.
  • IT Incident Response Time: Resolve infrastructure-related issues within SLA timelines.
  • Vendor Performance: Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations and SLAs.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Implement at least one major improvement annually.
