Our respected client is seeking a Management Accountant with solid knowledge in cost accounting or product costing in the manufacturing industry. The job is based in Taguig City, Philippines.
Job Summary:
The Management Accountant will identify, analyze, manage, and make recommendations to optimize the drivers which deliver the efficiencies to the manufacturing operations. This role provides high-quality direction based on analysis and investigation accompanied by strong follow-up to profit improvement and cost reduction.
Key job responsibilities include:
- The accurate completion, prudent commercial analysis, and timely delivery of all operations financial reporting of the Philippines branch
- Prepare, analyze, and report gross margin analysis and assist in month-end closing
- Manufacturing cost accounting involves investigation, analysis of costs and variances, follow-up, and reporting.
- Management and maintenance of the operations budgeting process of the Philippines branch
- Tight management of cost control ensuring that operating and capital expenditure is approved strictly in compliance with the company policy and authority levels.
- Drive accountability for adherence to standard practice back through the management team to ensure the provision of accurate information and the appropriate use of reports prepared for the business.
- Sponsoring and delivering change management programs to the manufacturing operations focusing on improvements in inefficiencies and costs.
- Analyze variance of cumulative works orders
- Prepare and analyze labor, material, and burden/overhead usage reports
- Raw material and WIP reporting (including aging), analysis inventory evaluation, and inventory roll forward
- Assist production management in the interpretation and analysis of factory activity.
- Analyze cost accounting data and perform regular cycle count on consumables/other raw materials
- Manage the petty cash for the operations group while maintaining internal control documentation and testing internal control
- Prepare collateral reporting and assist in special projects as required
- Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, and others
- Perform other tasks that management may assign from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- At least 5-10 years of working experience in the cost accounting field
- Experience in the manufacturing industry and top 700 corporations is a must.
- Exceptional analytical ability including translating analysis to action
- Must understand product costing using an ERP system
- High level of interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively and positively with personnel at all levels in the organization
- Must have experience in ERP systems preferably MFG-pro.
- Detailed oriented, knowledgeable on statistics, have strong problem-solving skills,
- Knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles and practices, computerized systems, and understanding of the current political and business environment.
- Ability to think out of the box; Spearheading high-impact initiatives; Anticipation of potential problems and resolution of problems,
- Strong personal accountability for driving and delivering on targets and deadlines
- Solid cost system background
- Must have good leadership skills and effective communication.
- Can start as soon as possible / within a month,
- Willing to be assigned in Taguig City.

The direct reporting relationship is to the Finance and Commercial Manager with a strong functional alignment with the Country Operations Manager in the Philippines
Close peer and support relationships with the operations and the finance/commercial functions of the Philippines branch
