Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing gaming platform in the Philippines. Our client, a proudly Filipino online sportsbook and eGames platform, is gaining recognition in the gaming and sports entertainment industries. They are also a trusted partner of the Philippine government in promoting responsible gaming. Our client is looking for a Paralegal to support the Chief Legal and Compliance.

Job Description:

  • Legal document drafting and contract review, daily corporate maintenance including but not limited to provision of legal opinion, legal research on specific subject matter, and limited representation of the company.
  • Provides support to the Chief Legal and Compliance, such as but not limited to, preparation and collation of documents and other requirements that need to be submitted with other companies or government agencies more specifically with LGU's and BIR.
  • Encodes, updates and maintains the information in the database of the Legal and Compliance Department pertaining to documents, licenses, permits, certificates, etc. of all companies in the group relating to LGU and BIR compliances.
  • Maintains and keeps safe and in order all hard copies of licenses, accreditations notices, correspondences issued by LGU and BIR.
  • Do research work relating to processes, regulations, documentation, requirements of LGUs and BIR with or any matter or issue that needs to be addressed by the department.
  • Liaises, coordinates, transacts and builds good relationships with the different departments of various LGUs and BIR.
  • Knows and learns the processes in securing licenses, permits, certificates or other documents from LGUs and BIR.
  • Processes and prepares PAGCOR-related requests of the Legal and Compliance Department from other departments.
  • Other task that may be assigned by the Chief Legal and Compliance from time to time.

Job Qualification:

  • Must have law background ideally in corporate practice, first consider those with legal experience in same industry.
  • Graduate of any 4-year course; with at least 5 years of experience working in a law firm or legal department of a corporation;
  • Can work independently or with a team;
  • Has experience liaising, coordinating and dealing with LGU and BIR;
  • Can draft simple letters and documents
  • Can do research work
  • Willing to do fieldwork
