Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a premium food supplier. Our respective client is looking for a Purchasing Director who will lead and manage all procurement activities within the organization. This includes developing purchasing strategies, overseeing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, managing procurement teams, and ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services. This role will be reporting to the President with onsite work set-up and is located in Paranaque City.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee purchasing strategies that ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team, including buyers, analysts, and procurement officers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to maximize value and mitigate risk.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement data, spending trends, and supplier performance to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulations, including ethical sourcing and sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, production) to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and coordinate purchasing schedules.
  • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers, ensuring proper due diligence and qualification processes are in place.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of the purchasing budget.
  • Implement procurement technologies and systems to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Manage supply chain risks, including disruptions, shortages, and regulatory challenges.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Business Management or any related course
  • At least 10 yrs experience in procurement or purchasing with 6 years in leadership capacity
  • Must have had experience in Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Must be knowledgeable in Inventory Forecast Alignment
  • Must be good in Cost Optimization & Risk Management
  • Must be knowledgeable in Tech-Driven Procurement and Compliance & Import Regulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent management and presentation abilities; goal-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
