The role of Sales Manager is responsible for enhancing growth by managing company sales to exceed annual and quarterly targets: identify new different ways to grow the business; develop and maintain a strong relationship with key opinion leaders; working alongside another Sales Manager and a Field Implementation Specialist in Thailand.
Job Responsibilities
Sales & Business Planning
- Sales manager will meet or exceed annual and quarterly sales budget for Thailand
- Manage and drive distributors to ensure effective penetration of market segments.
- Identify prospective distribution partners where required and develop new business/sales in line with growth expectation and product portfolio development
- Meet defined sales budgets via the application of strategic selling and channel management methodologies, ensuring maximum coverage in Thailand for the portfolio.
- Drive innovative pathway development for our clients' product portfolio
- Perform high-touch sales activities to hospital customers
- Map the market opportunity and market size
- Ensure all local regulatory requirements are met and supported in related governmental liaison.
- Communicate all new tenders to the attention of management and drive appropriate action plans to secure.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with key opinion leaders within product portfolio.
Marketing
- Develop and implement promotional activities and for partners for both portfolios in partnership with Marketing.
- Initiate and coordinate activities that increase general awareness of the medical community to portfolios
- Develop and implement new product launches
Technical Responsibilities
- Facilitate and organise product training for all distribution partners on all new products and upgrades, working closely with Marketing/Clinical Education department.
- Facilitate and manage client service/warranty claims as required in accordance to protocol
- Provide field feedback to marketing and regional teams on product design and applications as required
- Maintain competency by attending appropriate conferences and interacting with key stakeholders.
Administration
- Prepare periodic business planning reports & forecasts as required and assisting with planning processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Sciences (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology etc.) or Business or equivalent.
- Looking for someone who is entrepreneurial/strategic/innovative/open-minded
- Must be open and excited about new and different ways to grow the business in Thailand
- Distributor/Channel management skills (they use distributors/channel partners in Thailand to sell products)
- Experience in managing hospital listings/tenders
- Sales manager with Medical device background preferred but not capital equipment
