Award-winning executive recruitment firm, Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading international nonprofit operating across Asia. They are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead its centralized accounting and treasury functions across multiple offices in Thailand. This job is based in Chaing Mai, Thailand.

This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial data and reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining strong internal controls across the organization. You will oversee organizational accounting, payments, cash management, statutory compliance, and consolidated reporting for both management and audits.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the accounting and treasury teams across HQ and country offices, fostering collaboration, high performance, and professional growth.

  • Implement consistent accounting policies, reporting standards, and treasury procedures aligned with U.S. and Thai GAAP.

  • Oversee accurate and timely financial transactions, month-end closings, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure data integrity.

  • Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, payments, banking, liquidity, and oversight of receivables and payables.

  • Maintain and update the organization-wide Chart of Accounts and cost center structure to ensure consistency across all entities.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in all operating jurisdictions and coordinate internal and external audits.

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, management, and donor reports that are accurate, complete, and compliant with reporting standards.

  • Drive continuous improvements in financial systems and processes, including automation, data integration, and maintenance of the Sun accounting system.

  • Collaborate with senior finance leadership to provide reliable financial insights and support strategic planning and decision-making.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive years of progressive accounting or treasury experience, including multiple years in a leadership role.

  • Strong experience in multi-country operations or international nonprofit environments is preferred.

  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Thai accounting standards; Thai Foundation compliance experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems.

  • Fluent in Thai and English, with excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

  • High attention to detail, integrity, and a commitment to financial transparency and accountability.
