Senior Network & Systems Engineer

Executive recruitment firm Monroe Consulting Group's Technology Division is partnering with a leading HR software company with a strong presence across Southeast Asia.

Our distinguished client is currently seeking a highly skilled Network & Security Engineer to support hybrid on-prem and AWS cloud environments. The role includes daily infra operations, coordinating with vendors, ensuring uptime, and supporting AWS migration and post migration operation.

Key Responsibilities

Hybrid Infrastructure Operations

  • Support systems in Singapore Data Center and cloud workloads on AWS.
  • Perform daily monitoring for servers, network, and cloud components.
  • Provide L2 / L3 support for system, network, and server issues across regions
  • Support AWS migration tasks and post-migration operations.


Incident Management & Vendor Coordination

  • Act as internal escalation points for Incident Management and external vendors.
  • Troubleshoot infra issues and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
  • Prepare RCA reports and perform incident trend analysis.


Security & Compliance

  • Assist with ISO27001 tasks including evidence collection, access review, patch compliance.
  • Monitor and review logs and security reports for compliance readiness.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and DR/failover tests.


Automation & Efficiency

  • Automate and maintain routine tasks with appropriate scripting languages / tools.
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management, patching, and system provisioning.


Standby & Availability

  • Participate in 24×7 standby rotation for critical issues.
  • Support maintenance windows and emergency changes.



Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on infra or cloud operations experience (mid-level)
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on infra or cloud operations experience (Senior)
  • Exposure to datacenter or cloud environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing.
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies.
  • Linux administration experience.
  • Virtualization experience (VMware/Hyper‑V).
  • Automation and Scripting knowledge.
  • Understanding of AWS services and Monitoring.


Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with external vendors.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong ownership mindset.


Additional Advantages

  • AWS certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in multi-country operational support.
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 audits.
