Senior Project Mechanical Engineer

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in the wastewater construction industry. Our respected client is seeking a well-experienced professional with extensive knowledge in environmental solutions and wastewater treatment for the position of Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical. The job is based in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Job Summary:
A Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical is responsible for overseeing the overall site management and project execution related to mechanical aspects.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Project Manager.
  • Prepare plans and documents including:
    • Project Schedule
    • Equipment Specifications
    • Bill of Material Quantities
    • Sub-contract Scope of Work/Supply
    • Progress Reports and Billing
  • Supervise, instruct, and review the work of the Mechanical Project Engineer and CAD Operator in the preparation of:
    • Building and installation permit application plans, drawings, and documents
    • Mechanical and electrical plans such as:
      • Process and Instrument Diagrams
      • General Arrangement Drawings
      • Tank and Structure Primary Piping Support Plans/Drawings
      • Mechanical Installation Plans/Drawings, including Piping Routes, Piping Isometrics, Secondary Support, etc.
      • Final Documents
  • Monitor the progress of site installation.
  • Provide technical assistance to the site manager/supervisor in interpreting plans and drawings.
  • Liaise with customers, general contractors, government agencies, industrial park management, and other relevant parties.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline.
  • PRC engineering license is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the design of industrial facilities and/or installation of mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in water or wastewater treatment design, installation, or operation is essential.
  • Working knowledge of various mechanical equipment applications.
  • Experience in project or subcontractor supervision/management.
  • Familiarity with water and wastewater treatment plant processes.
  • Proficient in general engineering principles.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Good scholastic records.
  • Willingness to work at Laguna Technopark, Inc. and project sites.
