Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a Swiss-based globally operating process and laboratory instrumentation and automation supplier. Our respected client is seeking a professional with 8 years of working experience as a Senior Proposal Engineer. The job is based in The Fort, Global City, Philippines.
Key job responsibilities include:
- The Proposal Engineer will have a regional responsibility covering the Asia Pacific region
- Carry out a detailed analysis of the RFQ
- Design and preparation of proposals for Liquid Analysis Measurement Systems as per technical/ commercial and contractual customer requirements
- Prepare bill of material and quotation of relevant system solutions
- Design and selection of liquid analysis instrumentation, system components, liquid analysis solution panels, and cabinets
- Reviewing tenders/customer specifications and preparing compliance table
- Preparation of preliminary drawings/system architectures
- Sourcing for 3rd party items in the region, required to form complete solution offering including preparation of RFQ
- Ensure an initial project execution plan is in place
- Consolidate pricing for 3rd parties and the company's instruments
- Technical clarifications
- Cooperate with the sales team and the project engineer to create a proposal that includes engineering scope, system architecture, process flow, value proposition, and quotation
- Provide technical support to sales teams on solution strategies
- Assists the sales in developing value-added recommendations and proposal writing
- Be responsible for checking and verifying the conversion of project proposals to customers' sales orders with
- the sales/execution
- Negotiate with third-party suppliers on price /lead time as per the project requirements
- Participate in a smooth handover of awarded opportunities to the execution team and ensure a seamless customer experience
- Participate in site surveys to identify installation locations and estimate site work
- Estimate engineering, and service man hours for project execution
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related discipline (e.g. Chemical engineering, Electrical engineering, Controls/process engineering, Instrumentation)
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English are a must. Any other regional language is a plus
- Experience in making proposals for SWAS systems; IIoT/Cloud-based systems shall be preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Vision
- Good knowledge of SAP will be a plus
- Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience in the Water and Wastewater Industry and Liquid Analytical Basic understanding of risk management/ analysis
- Strong Liquid Analytical/solutions/application knowledge and associated products
- Enthusiasm, proactive, and ability to work independently
