Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of Sports Technology company who develops sports analytics products that are portable and easy to use to empower athletes at all skill levels.

Job Scope:

Own Key Electronics Categories:

  • Manage sourcing of electronic components such as PCB/PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, connectors, and related assemblies.
  • Evaluate cost, MOQ, and lead-time trade-offs before PO commitment.
  • Identify potential single-source or long lead-time exposure within your portfolio.

Navigate Supply Volatility:

  • Monitor market signals such as lead-time shifts, allocation risk, and demand swings.
  • Work with Planning to align buying strategy with forecast changes.
  • Support mitigation actions during seasonal shortages or constrained supply conditions.

Execute Technical Discipline:

  • Validate BOM revisions, part numbers, and AVL alignment prior to PO release.
  • Ensure ERP accuracy for lead times, MOQs, and supplier data.
  • Coordinate with Engineering during NPI and revision changes to minimize rework and excess inventory.

Manage Supplier Performance

  • Track on-time delivery and lead-time adherence.
  • Support structured supplier discussions when performance deviates.
  • Escalate risks early to prevent production disruption.

Contribute to Process Improvement

  • Identify recurring issues in purchasing workflows.
  • Suggest improvements in data hygiene and execution discipline.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.


Requirements:

  • Minimum a Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant.
  • 5-8 years of procurement experience in electronics or hardware manufacturing.
  • Direct experience sourcing electronic components (PCB, PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, connectors, etc.).
  • Familiarity with industry dynamics such as semiconductor allocation cycles, seasonal shortages, and component lifecycle risks.
  • Understanding of BOM structures, revision control, and NPI processes.
  • Experience working with EMS or contract manufacturers is advantageous.
  • Comfortable negotiating pricing and delivery terms.
  • Strong ERP discipline (NetSuite or similar preferred).
  • Independent, resourceful, and able to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Clear communicator across Engineering, Planning, and Operations.
