Sewing Department Manager (Textile)

Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a respected multinational textile and garment manufacturing company. Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Sewing Department Manager to lead and optimize sewing operations to meet production and quality standards. The role is based in Indonesia and offers a great opportunity for professionals in garment manufacturing leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage sewing department operations to ensure production targets and quality benchmarks are met.
  • Supervise, support, and lead the sewing team to work effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop work shift schedules and set production goals based on demand forecasts.
  • Monitor and control sewing output to maintain compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks, analyze issues, and implement solutions to increase sewing productivity.
  • Coordinate with related departments such as Planning, Quality Control, and Purchasing for smooth workflow and material availability.
  • Oversee maintenance of sewing machines and ensure timely servicing to prevent downtime.
  • Prepare performance and operational reports for presentation to senior management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Textile Industry, Production Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing a sewing department in the garment or textile industry.
  • Strong understanding of sewing techniques, garment construction, and quality standards.
  • Effective team management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate in English is an advantage.
