Award-winning executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a consumer health business. Our client is looking for a Strategic Buyer to be based in Samutprakarn with hybrid working.

Our client is an established consumer healthcare business. The Strategic Buyer is responsible for sourcing and managing indirect categories and topics in Production Centre Thailand. This role contributes to business success by implementing procurement strategies, enhancing cost efficiency, ensuring supply security, improving services, and fostering stakeholder relationships.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Implement Global/Regional Procurement Category Strategies at the local level.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate supplier contracts, including prices, total cost of ownership (TCO), payment terms, and quality standards.
  • Maintain local supply agreements.

Procurement Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and procurement procedures during negotiations and contract management.
  • Maintain accurate spend data in SAP and align KPIs with contractual terms.

Supplier Management:

  • Select suppliers to minimize supply risks.
  • Manage suppliers through evaluation and development to drive continuous improvement.

Market Analysis and Research:

  • Stay updated on market trends and developments within the assigned responsibility area.

Planning and Control:

  • Achieve targets for the assigned responsibility area, such as cost savings and payment terms.
  • Generate and update monthly performance reports, analyzing actions for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate credibility and positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.

Job Requirements

  • University degree with a minimum of 2 years of procurement experience (Indirect Procurement background is a plus).
  • Proactive, pragmatic, cost-conscious, result-oriented mindset.
  • Strong personal integrity and professional ethics.
  • Understanding of procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English for business communication.
