Technical Sales and Development Manager (Lime and Minerals)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on lime and minerals. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10-15 years' experience in lime and minerals for the job of Technical Sales and Development Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Report to VP Commercial Regional
  • Responsible to works on technical and market development mainly in nonferrous market.
  • Built and maintain close customer relationship
  • Works to exceed sales goals by gaining new accounts, adjusting prices and developing new business.
  • Emphasis will be placed on maintaining a sustainable competitive advantage by providing the best level of total customer satisfaction which includes technical knowledge by thoroughly understanding competing products, services
  • Develop close customer relationships through visiting customers, matching products with customer specs and ensuring delivery
  • Resolve technical customer issues
  • Understand and know customer's business
  • Make clear and concise presentations to customers
  • Provide competitive quotes
  • Understand production capabilities as well as competition

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or Business
  • Complete understanding of lime and minerals production, dispatch and transportation process and all associated costs as well as strong industry knowledge
  • Ability to set priorities, manage time and deliver results
  • Ability to plan and deliver results in long- and short-term projections
  • Strong relationship building skills both within lime and minerals and with current and future customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills; has proven capacity to exercise independent judgment and willingness to make critical decisions
  • Demonstrated technical know how about the product we make and sale to the end customer.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate on all levels
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and with strong initiative. High level of initiative and is pragmatic- has a strong sense of urgency and call to action.
  • Excellent value selling and negotiation skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs.
  • Forward looking action-oriented team player that works well with cross functional groups
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint software. SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be able to speak Mandarin
  • Must able to perform work assigned.
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% (Local and International)
  • Willing to work from home
