VP Finance

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a food & restaurant operator. Our respective client is looking for a VP Finance who will ensure the integrity of financial information, supports decision-making at the executive level, manages budgeting and forecasting processes, ensures regulatory compliance, and leads the finance team to drive business growth and operational efficiency. This role will be reporting to the Group CFO, with Hybrid work set-up and is located in Pasig City.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Oversee preparation of financial reports, statements, and projections for executive management, board presentations, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's overall business objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and operational results to provide actionable insights.
  • Evaluate and manage risks, including financial, operational, and compliance-related risks.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory laws and financial regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, SEC, etc.).
  • Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A), due diligence, and integration activities.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • At least 10 yrs experience in a senior management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management.
  • Must have had solid experience in food & beverage
  • Tech-savvy, able to work with systems and manipulate large amounts of data
  • Ability to work independently with statutory and regulatory reporting background
  • With SAP knowledge
  • Must have proven knowledge of bookkeeping, Philippine accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations (IFRS)
  • Distinctive communication and presentation skills, strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and with strong personality
  • Flexible and resourceful in challenging and changing situations
  • With strong background in financial and tax reports.
