Monroe China’s Career Transition Event

  • Publish Date: Posted over 3 years ago

Monroe Consulting Group China recently held their third career transition event aimed at young professionals, helping them with their career positioning and enabling them to successfully plan and transform their careers.

After opening with fun ice breakers and giving participants the chance to get to know each other, Monroe staff discussed how working for Monroe Consulting and a career in recruitment can be very fulfilling. They also presented participants with the benefits of a career in executive search and why it might be a suitable career path for them to take.

Monroe China’s Managing Director, Kelly Liu, hosted a Career Transition workshop and a self-assessment exercise. This workshop provided participants with guidelines on how they can define a practical career plan by identifying their strengths and weaknesses, what they really want to do, and what they realistically can do.

Following this, a group case study was introduced. Participants were paired up and asked to analyze a business case before presenting their action plan and recommendations for addressing the problem posed. Monroe observers were impressed by the teamwork, logical analysis, and diversity of thought on display, with pairs, persuasively debating their positions.

The session concluded with an interpretation of the Everything DISC assessment results – the personality assessment that participants were asked to complete during the event.

At Monroe Consulting we are always looking for ways to improve our service offering, including events and webinars. When asked for feedback, one participant stated, “it was an exciting event that enabled me to interact with and learn from industry experts, the event also helped me to get a clearer picture of my career positioning”.
