Monroe Shortlisted for International Award for Training & Development

  • Publish Date: Posted about 10 years ago

Monroe Consulting Group is proud to announce that it has been shortlisted in the Most Effective Professional Development for Newcomers category by Recruiter magazine’s Investing in Talent Awards, which was launched to recognise recruitment businesses and individuals demonstrating a passion for people. The final winner will be announced at the Congress Centre in London on October 22.

As Monroe Consulting Group operates in emerging markets, it relies on its ability to train and develop its own staff through a specialised system that is designed to deliver an understanding of Monroe Consulting Group, the recruitment industry and the basic skills and principles for delivering professional recruitment services. The training is delivered by a designated in-house trainer and supported through the coaching of managers and mentors.

Following the initial induction training, Monroe Consulting Group’s professional development is then managed through a centralised company website that incorporates a wide range of information and training modules for beginner, advanced and leadership levels. In addition to the formalised training, Monroe Consulting Group consultants also participate in exchanges, where they can experience working in either another Monroe office or a sister company in a different country. This allows people to gain knowledge and experience in a different working environment and experience different ways of approaching the same business.

The training Monroe provide has ensured excellent results for the business and the careers of people who are part of their team. In the last year alone, two previous trainees, who developed their skills in Monroe were appointed to lead new offices in Chile and Malaysia. Examples of the success of Monroe’s training can be seen outside the business as well, with Monroe Consulting Group alumni holding senior recruitment positions in many multinational companies as well as others who have gone on to start their own recruitment businesses.

Andrew Hairs, Group Manager for Monroe Consulting Group, said the entire Monroe team were “extremely proud to be shortlisted for such a prestigious international award.” “With our geographical focus being on the emerging economies, the success of our business relies on our ability to introduce young people to the recruitment industry and give them the knowledge and support required to be successful.” Hairs said.
