Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia Collecting Books for New Children’s Ward

  • Publish Date: Posted about 9 years ago

Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is pleased to announce that its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program for 2015 will continue to provide financial and other support for Yayasan Mitra Anak Indonesia, also known as “Main.”

Main provides essential medical support and brightens the lives of seriously ill or terminal children from poverty-stricken families in Indonesia. The majority of medical treatments provided are for children treated in Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM), Indonesia’s national hospital.

The hospital, in Jakarta, recently completed the construction phase of a new paediatrics ward and is currently in the final stages of providing the building with much needed supporting equipment. One of the areas planned for the new building is a mini library and soft play area.

As part of our corporate social responsibility program, Monroe will be collecting new and used books to donate to the new ward’s library. The team have already started bringing in books they have gathered from home and we would like to invite others to donate any unwanted children’s books they may have. If you cannot make it in to our office, we will be happy to come to and collect books from you.

We will be taking the first batch of books to the hospital on the 7th of February, where some of the team will read books to the children, an event which will be held once a month for the rest of the year.
