Indonesia’s premiere head-hunters battle it out at Laser Tag

Recruitment consultants from Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia put their skills as head-hunters to the test during a team-bonding exercise at interactive shooting game Laser Tag Indonesia in South Jakarta on Thursday night.

“Our team are a competitive group of young professionals who do their best in a work environment, so it wasn’t surprising to see this extend to the social arena also,” said Bagus Hendrayono, managing director for Monroe Indonesia. “Blood was spilt,” he joked.

Bagus said the event, which was a small part of Monroe’s efforts to maintain a fun work environment, was held at Laser Tag in Kemang. “The game was amazing: it’s a combination of strategy, cardio activity, skill and competitiveness as we had four teams and only one winner.”

He said Monroe often held team gatherings as work was not simply about “coming to the office and doing their jobs.” “A job should also have the ‘fun factor,’ which increases enthusiasm,” he said. “The goals are to create a positive bonding experience between all of our employees as well as between staff and management for the betterment of the overall business.”

Bagus said staff from Indonesia would be joining with staff from Monroe operations in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines at the Group’s annual staff retreat next month, which would be held this year at a five-star hotel on the resort island of Langkawi, Malaysia.
