Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia has won Best New Recruitment Agency at the prestigious Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 Malaysia, presented by Human Resources magazine. The executive recruitment company, which specialises in emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific region, was also a finalist in the Best Recruitment Innovation by a Recruitment Agency categories.
“To be nominated in both categories after less than two years of operations in Malaysia was an achievement in itself,” said Monroe Malaysia Managing Director Monica Viladot. “To win Best New Recruitment Agency is incredible and a reflection of the hard work our dedicated team of consultants have undertaken. As managing director, it is a pleasure to work with such an amazing team of professional recruiters, which I believe are the key to our success in Malaysia.”
Monica said the accolade, the latest international award for the wider Monroe Consulting Group, was a reflection of the successful implementation of the Group’s business model, which had seen operations opened in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Mexico, Chile and most recently China.
Andrew Hairs, group managing director of Monroe, said Ms Viladot had transformed the business in Malaysia to what was now an internationally recognised recruitment operation catering to many of the most respected multinational and national companies operating in the country today.
“This is the latest piece of good news for the Group,” Hairs said. “Last week we announced that we are significantly expanding our operations in Indonesia, and today our operations in China posted record quarterly figures.”
The Best New Recruitment Agency is open to industry newcomers that have proven themselves to be reputable and profitable. The award will be presented to the best all-rounder that has been in business for not more than three years, but has managed to “deliver exemplary value and quantifiable results similar to those of big agencies.”
The Best Recruitment Innovation by a Recruitment Agency award recognises the unique aspects of any innovation featured extensively in the recruitment process. Judging criteria includes differentiation from existing products, processes and services, user satisfaction and effectiveness, as well as the innovation’s success and popularity among users and management. It must also have “contributed to the recruitment sector or process in a positive way, and made a significant difference to various stakeholders.”
Organised by Human Resources magazine, the Asia Recruitment Awards is a regional recruitment awards show dedicated to recognising and celebrating the best in recruitment and talent acquisition in Asia. It honours the spirit of excellence of recruiters – both in-house and agencies – across the human resources spectrum.
