A senior executive with accommodation start-up RedDoorz says executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group has played a key role in the continuing growth of the innovative online budget hotel brand and booking platform since it launched in Indonesia in 2015.
“Monroe sourced our first three employees and has partnered with us ever since, placing a total of 15 key technical or executive-level employees in Indonesia in the last two years, says Rishabh Singhi, Chief Operating Officer at RedDoorz. “We are so happy with Monroe’s services that we are partnering with them during our expansion into the Philippines and are already well on track for our first couple of executive placements. We are also looking forward to working with Monroe as we expand into Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand in the coming years.”
RedDoorz has a vision to create a quality budget accommodation brand that provides travellers a consistent experience. The company has in excess of 600 properties, mainly in Indonesia, including in the capital Jakarta, the regional provincial capitals of Bandung and Surabaya, as well as the resort island of Bali. In the past year, the Company’s revenue has grown 12-fold and it is well on its way to becoming the largest online budget accommodation brand in Southeast Asia.
Rishabh said Monroe’s senior management and individual recruitment consultants understood not only Indonesia and the regulatory environment, but also the specific industries in which RedDoorz operated, namely E-commerce and hospitality.
“The company understands the rapidly evolving E-commerce landscape throughout Southeast Asia and the difficulties in making new hires, which can be extremely difficult given often unreasonable salary expectations,” he said. “In addition, we worked closely with Monroe’s other four divisions to ensure we were presented with the very best candidates in a number of non-technical-related roles, including executive marketing, sales and human resources personnel, for example.”
Rishabh said Monroe understood the cultural and corporate environments in the countries in which it operated. “It invests heavily in its consultants, has implemented an efficient recruitment process and focuses on providing the best customer service that it can, to both its corporate clients and individual job candidates.”
Monroe Consulting Group in a multiple international award-winning executive recruitment that focuses on emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific, namely China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Chile and Mexico. It specialises in the areas of Technology, Consumer Goods, Industry, Health and Professional Services, which incorporates the banking, finance and insurance industries.
Tina Nugraheni, the head of Monroe’s Indonesia’s Technology Division, said she was delighted to have placed 15 key technical or executive-level staff with such an innovative, exciting and successful company as RedDoorz.
“There have been a number of success stories in the tech sector in Indonesia and RedDoorz is yet another great example of a technology-focused company doing great things here and expanding regionally,” Tina said. “Looking at Southeast Asia, the overall online hotel booking market is expected to increase from $6.6 billion in 2015 to $36.4 billion within 10 years. RedDoorz is at the forefront of this.”
Tina said Monroe’s award-winning recruitment processes and customer service orientation meant that the recruitment company could continue to provide human resources services.
Kathleen Gumayan, an executive recruitment consultant with Monroe Philippines’ Technology Division, said RedDoorz was one of the most exciting start-up E-commerce companies in Indonesia and it was looking to replicate its success in the Philippines.
“We are working hand-in-hand with RedDoorz and have a number of candidates in the pipeline,” Kathleen said. “Rishabh and his team are true professionals who know exactly what they want and how to achieve their aims, yet they are still open to placing their trust in Monroe’s proven executive recruitment services.”
