Monroe Philippines Targets Mature Executives for Jobs in the Recruitment Industry

  • Publish Date: Posted about 6 years ago

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is hiring professionals with experience in a range of industries, including technology and health, for rewarding jobs as senior executive recruitment consultants, regardless of any previous experience in recruitment or human resources.

Monroe Consulting Group is a leading provider of executive search and headhunting services in the Philippines. The multiple international award-winning company is focused on delivering the highest recruitment services to emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific, including the Philippines. The Company operates five specialist divisions focused on industry clusters within the Consumer Goods, Health, Industrial, Technology and Professional Services sectors.

Monroe Consulting Group Philippines Managing Director Ross McKenzie said he was committed to forming a recruitment team based around mature and experienced consultants with backgrounds in key industries.

Recent hires have included professionals in range of sectors, including health, business process outsourcing (BPO), law and a senior human resources (HR) management executive with experience in manufacturing, construction and oil and gas, he said.

“We have high-performance Division heads operating in our key areas, and successful recruitment consultants,” he said. “One of the new hires has come in as a Principal Consultant, which is a new role we have created where you operate in a stand-alone position equivalent to the seniority of an Assistant Division Head.”

Fun, money and a sense of doing something that matters. These are the only three reasons why you should work.

Asked why industry professionals in their late 20s to early 30s would consider moving from the technology, banking or health sectors to the recruitment industry, Mr McKenzie said “money”.

“You can make more money as a good recruitment consultant than you can as an IT-techie ... if you are taking 10 percent of revenue from job placements, you can make more money as a sales-generating recruitment consultant.”

He reiterated that Monroe Philippines promoted recruitment as a new career for three primary reasons, namely enjoyment, the financial remuneration and working in a people-focused career that had an important role on people’s lives.

“One of the areas in which Monroe excels is our training and development program for people new to the recruitment industry, and we have awards to show for how much the Company has invested in this.”

Working for Monroe

Mr McKenzie said the Bonifacio Global City-headquartered Monroe Philippines was well on track for its best ever financial year, posting a record number of executive-level placements in the last three months.

“We are going from strength-to-strength and our brand is strong across all the Divisions in which we operate, with key clients in all those industry sectors, from Fortune 500 clients to leading companies from the Philippines.”

He said the recruitment industry in general was a growth area in the Philippines.

“It is clear that recruitment is a great career option with the growth of the industry. It is a growth area: Our average invoice value has increased by 25 to 35 percent within a year, which reflects our enhanced focus on the provision of executive-level or highly technical professionals for key jobs with key clients.”
