Monroe Philippines encourages recruitment consultants to engage with tech industry

  • Publish Date: Posted over 5 years ago

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines has adopted a pro-active approach to staying ahead of the curve when it comes new trends and innovative approaches in key business sectors, including technology.

Recruitment consultants from the Manila-based headhunting agency’s specialist Technology Division attended the inaugural Global South Tech event at Makati City.

Titled ‘Going Global, Southeast Asia Blockchain + Crypto,’ the event was aimed at connecting leaders in emerging technology communities, including tech start-ups, in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Panellists included Emerson Fonesca of NEM Philippines, Peter Ing of SCI Ventures & BlockchainSpace, JD Silverstre of EOS Philippines and moderator Nelson Igunma of #GlobalSouthTech.

Monroe Philippines executive headhunters Arleah Parado, Kathleen Gumayan and Nathaniel Damiano were also in attendance, using the event to stay abreast of the latest developments in the technology industry and the impact on human resources (HR) and recruitment.

Mr Ing said that he believed that of all the countries in Southeast Asia, the Philippines had the greatest potential for Blockchain, one of the world's leading all-in-one crypto companies.

Mr Igunma and Mr Fonesca said there was a demand by established and start-up technology companies for quality candidates for executive or specialist job positions.

Ms Parado agreed, saying this extended to companies operating in the fast-moving consumer goods, industrial and logistics industries as well.

Mr Damiano, who noted that not only did Monroe have a firm foothold in Southeast Asia and around the globe, said the company was well aware of the difficulties many technology companies around the world were having with recruitment.

Ms Gumayan said the event was a great opportunity to meet tech leaders representing VC investors, blockchain or crypto companies, and platforms to learn about the challenges, opportunities, and resources for tech startups in the Philippines that want to expand in Southeast Asia, China and other markets worldwide.

“Monroe is unceasingly mapping talent pools around the world and building reputable networks by identifying key partners in this sector,” she said.

“As part of a global executive search agency, Monroe continuously strives to improve its recruitment and headhunting services.”
Ms Parado said the headhunting agency’s focus on ensuring its recruitment consultants were experts in their industries enhanced its ability to source and recruit hard-to-find talent.
