William Sabandar, the high-profile president director of Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), gave executive recruitment consultants from Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia a behind-the-scenes guided tour of what is expected to be a game changer for transportation in the capital city.
Tina Nugraheni, head of Monroe Indonesia's specialized Industrial Division that covers infrastructure and property development, said Dr Sabandar personally escorted the Monroe Consultants during a trial run of an MRT train.
“It really is an honour for Pak Willy to act as our guide during a tour of the MRT system from Central Jakarta to Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta and a reflection of our close working relationship with him,” Ms Nugraheni said.
“Monroe is proud to have been able to place a number of key technical experts in key positions of the massive infrastructure project and contribute to the success of a momentous day in the history of the city.”
The MRT is expected to relieve some of the pressure on the city’s infamous grid-locked streets.
Dr Sabandar has visited Monroe Indonesia’s offices not far from the Lebak Bulus MRT station for an information-sharing session on the state of the project and headhunting in the industrial sector.
The recruitment agency’s headhunters are renowned for their in-depth knowledge of the industrial sector, including infrastructure projects, mining, energy and property development, and how to source the best candidates needed by leading national and multinational companies.
Andreas Saputra, deputy managing director for Monroe Indonesia, said a key aspect to the agency’s ability to source and recruit hard-to-find talent was its ability to attract executive who were not actively seeking work.
“Often these executives who are not seeking new opportunities because they are comfortable in their current roles because they are good at what they do,” Mr Saputra says.
“We specialise in headhunting these executives in not only the industrial sector, but across all our divisions.”
The executive recruitment agency also has Consumer Goods, Professional, Health and Technology divisions.
Ms Nugraheni, who also heads up the headhunting agency’s Technology team, said the company was going from strength to strength in building relationships with internationally recognised companies, including tech giant Apple.
A Monroe recruitment consultant recently gave a presentation at the Apple Academy on creating great CVs and how to prepare for job interviews, she said.
