What do you want to do with your life? What is a job that is perfect for you? What is the best way to apply for that job? What should you say during a job interview?
These were some of the questions answered by executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group during a seminar at Pertamina University in Jakarta recently.
More than 100 students of the university, owned by state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina, attended the special seminar organized by the executive search agency.
Ali Bahtiar, an executive recruitment consultant with Monroe’s Industrial Division, said the headhunting agency had a long association with educational institutions in Indonesia and providing these events was a way of giving back to the community.
“Indonesia’s future is the next generation and this all begins with education,” Ali said.
He said that as part of the headhunting agency’s commitment to education, Monroe had initiated the event to help prepare the students for their future careers.
“Our recruitment company lives by the philosophy ‘fun, money and doing something that matters’ and this is one of our key messages to young adults entering the workforce, not only should you enjoy what you do, but you should expect to be paid well and do something that has an important impact on other people’s lives.”
Ali said his seminar focused on finding a purpose in life, having the right mindset, preparing CVs and handling job interviews.
