A little over five years ago, Pattira Kulpreeda had completed a degree in marketing and embarked on a career that would change her life forever – working as a headhunter for executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand.
Fast forward five years and the Bangkok-based Ms Kulpreeda is now leading a team of 10 executive recruitment consultants on a team-building exercise to help raise money for long-term care patients in Rayong Province.
It has been a rapid and rewarding rise for one of the stars of the executive search agency.
After joining Monroe Thailand as a trainee and making the most of her in-house training and mentorships, Ms Kulpreeda rose to executive recruitment consultant and then to senior recruitment executive with the company’s specialised Industrial Division.
Within the space of a year, the highly motivated and professional headhunter was named Assistant Division Manager, a job in which she excelled, being named the search agency’s Top Biller for 2018.
Just five months’ later, she was promoted to Division Head, a job she has held for more than a year.
“Monroe rewards results, not seniority, and my career trajectory – and many others employed by Monroe worldwide – are testament to its philosophy.”
Ms Kulpreeda said Monroe’s award-winning in-house training was specifically designed to enable consultants to develop their careers, from trainee-level cadets looking to develop their soft skills, recruitment consultants honing their networking and business development skills to Division leaders, looking to not only manage their respective teams, but grow them.
“People are different and have individual management styles, but for me, I tend to focus on creating an environment where people are comfortable in the way they work and that they get results,” she said.
“This is very important and challenging for me. I am creating a ‘new normal’ for my team by empowering and inspiring them.”
As part of this process Ms Kulpreeda led her team on a recent “mini-marathon” in the resort city of Pattaya to raise money for the long-term ill in Rayong in south-eastern Thailand.
The team of ten consultants were then rewarded with a night at the five-star Renaissance Pattaya Resort & Spa.
“It was a rewarding experience for us a team and reinforced what we continue to believe in: being the best executive recruitment consultants in the industrial sector in Thailand.”
Monroe Consulting Group, which specialises in the provision of superior executive search services in emerging markets around the world, attracts the very best headhunters by promising “fun, money and doing something that matters”.
Monroe Thailand is no different, with its corporate culture focused on impacting on the lives of individuals by sourcing jobs, but also the wider community.
Monroe Thailand is one of the primary backers of the Gift of Happiness Foundation for impoverished and disadvantaged children in the Southeast-Asian country, and the consultants recently came together to help raise money for the Australian bush fire appeal.
Panyanatsorn Ruangratsoontorn, an office administrator, said Australian doctors played key roles in the Tham Luang cave rescues and collecting money to help Australia alleviate the suffering in its time of need was the least they could do.
“Monroe Thailand has committed to donating to a wildlife fund on an annual basis and we wish residents all the best on getting back to their daily lives.”
