Director Operational Excellence - Mining Services
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational mining services company with a core focus on mining services. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a Director Operation professional with at least 20 years' experience with a multinational company for the job of Director Operational Excellence. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Directly reports to the APAC Global Head
- Grow the Operations Excellence practice by nurturing and leveraging existing strategic accounts / client relationships and, driving new acquisitions and commercial sustainability
- Contribute to building the strategic direction of the region to deliver the global objectives; and take an active leadership role in delivering the strategic plan for OPEX
- Drive the design and execution of consulting engagements in operations excellence to help clients extract and create value safely in their assets, be outcome-focused and ensure client requirements are exceeded
- Lead the development of operational excellence management proposals and provide expertise / advisory support as part of proposal development and support to other team members
- Provide expert advisory support of OPEX consulting engagements
- Be a thought leader in operations excellence management and help build firm capability; and
- Provide feedback and coaching to junior colleagues to support their development within the company
- Generate, maintain, and continually grow a diversified engagement pipeline within core client base industries
- Building strong coaching relationships with key clients at C-suite level on improvement initiatives and serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives
- Working with the regional leadership in developing new business leads & opportunities to grow the business
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree in mining engineering, or related field, Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent, MBA or MS preferred
· Minimum 20 years combined experience in mining consultancy and engineering services with knowledge of mining processes
· Have a successful record of leading and growing an operations management consulting practice and knowledge of the Indonesian market
· Track record in leading complex business / operations transformation programs within the context of a rapidly changing environment
· Strong leadership skills and proven track record in building teams
· Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with ability to interact with clients at all levels
· Fluency in both written and spoken Bahasa and English
· Entrepreneurial spirit, thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly growing consulting environment with a passion for continuous improvement
· Ability to travel once borders are open
