Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an established FMCG company seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance operations of the company. This is on a Hybrid work set up based in Pasig City, Philippines.

Job Summary:

The Finance Director is responsible for shaping and leading the company's financial direction while acting as a key strategic partner to commercial and operational teams. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on financial oversight, ensuring sustainable growth, disciplined cost management, and strong financial controls within a dynamic consumer-driven environment.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Define and implement financial and commercial strategies that support revenue growth, margin expansion, and effective working capital management.
  • Own the end-to-end financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, with strong visibility into sales trends, product economics, and supply chain costs.
  • Provide strategic finance partnership to sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams, enabling data-driven decisions on pricing, promotions, and customer profitability.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting strong governance, accountability, and business partnering capabilities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS or local GAAP, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Support demand planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain efficiency initiatives through robust financial analysis and insights.
  • Present clear, concise, and actionable financial insights to senior leadership to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Manage key external relationships, including auditors, banks, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
  • Proactively assess and manage financial risks such as foreign exchange exposure, commodity price volatility, and customer credit risk.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Key job requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is required.
  • Professional certification or postgraduate qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or MBA is highly desirable.
  • At least 15 years of progressive finance experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within consumer goods, retail, or FMCG organizations
  • Strong background in commercial finance with proven experience supporting sales, marketing, and supply chain functions.
  • Deep expertise in pricing, trade spend management, promotions, margin optimization, and customer or channel profitability analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Highly analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to balance long-term strategy and day-to-day execution.
