Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational FMCG company. Our client is looking for a Food Safety Specialist who will ensure that all manufacturing processes and products comply with food safety regulations and Quality Management System (QMS) standards. This role collaborates closely with Manufacturing and cross-functional teams to uphold product quality, safety, and operational efficiency while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position reports to the Senior Quality & Food Safety Manager. This role is based onsite at the company's Antipolo, Rizal plant, operating on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain HACCP, GMP/GHP, Food Defense, Food Fraud Prevention, and Cleaning & Sanitation programs.
  • Conduct and review compliance checks, risk assessments, and audits; manage non-conformances through root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
  • Oversee food safety compliance, including allergen control, sanitation validation, and material risk assessments.
  • Drive continuous improvement using structured problem-solving methodologies and monitor key food safety KPIs.
  • Serve as Food Safety Team Coordinator, providing training on HACCP, GMP, and quality tools to strengthen capabilities and promote a culture of food safety.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation for audits, deviations, CAPAs, and training records.

Key job qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, Food Engineering, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in quality control, quality assurance, or food safety within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in Quality Management, Food Safety, Microbiology, and Hygiene.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF/BRC/IFS, and regulatory requirements (FDA/EFSA), including allergen and recall management.
  • Skilled in laboratory testing, microbiological analysis, and the use of validated analytical methods.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis, data-driven problem solving, and QMS documentation control.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
